You are Here: iThirst » About Us » Our Name
Jesus has been hanging on the cross for 6 hours. In excruciating pain. Suffering from each breath and each nail driven into his body. Finally, it’s time. Right before his last breath, he simply says “I’m thirsty.”
Why did he say that? What was he thirsty for? Perhaps rather than a simple statement, it was a commandment for us to ask ourselves once again what it is that we are truly thirsty, and living, for. Is it money? Power? Glamour? A buzz? Revenge? Will those things really quench your thirst?

Will these superficial distractions allow us to live in a world of war, suffering, slavery, and neglect, with no care? Perhaps Jeses was thirsting – praying – PLEADING – us to open our eyes, look beyond our own superficial needs, and discover what we are truly thirsting for.
