Our Core Principles

iThirst believes that the key to changing the world is to invest in renewable and sustainable resources that give the poorest of the poor a chance to improve their own lives.

Renewable and sustainable resources include food, a roof, basic medical care, and an education. But it all starts with providing access to clean water. Therefore, clean water will be our primary focus.

iThirst believes our hope for changing the world must include the involvement of our youth and young adults.

If our youth can begin to turn their backs on the superficialities and temptations that dominate our culture and instead, lead by example by showing the rest of us how to love our neighbors in need, then the rest of us will follow their lead and the world can truly be changed.

iThirst believes that we can have an immediate impact by partnering with established organizations already on the ground.
There are countless organizations already in place that are committed to bringing an end to the thirst for clean water. These organizations have the desire, the ability, and the brain power to change the world. What they lack is enough human and financial capital to make a substantial dent in the problem. iThirst intends to be a significant resource in providing this capital.

iThirst believes that hypocrisy and “love of self” are the root causes of all the wrongs and evil in this world. Our name comes from John 19:28 when Jesus said “I thirst.” just before he died. iThirst believes he was “thirsting” for us to remember his greatest commandment to live our lives by loving our neighbor by helping those who need it the most. Regardless of whether or not you believe Jesus was just a great teacher, or a prophet, or the son of God, we can all agree and rally behind his greatest commandment. Unifying around this theme of action by serving is the way to unify people in a world that is so divisive.

Experts believe that much of the problem could be solved with $20 billion dollars.

Therefore as our first – minimum goal, iThirst strives to raise $1 billion dollars.
Yes, $ 1 billion dollars – as a STARTING POINT.
That is just $1 for every person in need of clean water
to begin to eradicate lack of clean water.

Sound Impossible?

Sound Impossible?

Therefore, what many may view as impossible, iThirst believes is both possible and practical. The resources necessary to solve this tragedy are there.

What is needed is to raise awareness for people to simply “thirst” to bring change.
If done correctly, and aggressively, once exposed to this world crisis,
iThirst believes that millions will respond with a minimum of $20 dollars representing just one human life saved.

iThirst was formed to provide additional resources and capital to the organizations already at work providing renewable and sustainable methods to solve the water shortage problem. Our mission is to raise awareness and provide both the financial and human capital necessary for these organizations to truly succeed.

Our Mission Is Simple:

iThirst wishes to raise and distribute money to organizations demonstrating a passion, renewable \ sustainable methods, results, and good stewardship of their financial resources that are dedicated to solving the world’s water and sanitation crisis.

iThirst wishes for EVERYONE to get involved with this mission of quenching the thirst of the world. We have a focused three pronged fund raising strategy focusing on youth and young adults, all employed people, and employers.

Our goal is to enlist and encourage people to sacrifice financially in increments of just $20. Each $20 gift represents one life saved. We will encourage and incent this sacrifice by enlisting employers to acknowledge the commitment made by young people and\or their own employees by matching their contributions in $20 dollar increments up to a pre-determined commitment level.

iThirst believes it is critical that every penny of every individual contribution be distributed directly to the mission field. Absolutely no administration or marketing expenses will be deducted from any individual contributions. All such expenses will be paid through our employer sponsored donations, matching contributions, and\or specific grants.

iThirst wishes to organize opportunities and provide scholarships for young people to go into the mission field with our partners already on the ground or through their church. Such trips can be expensive, therefore, limiting opportunities for young people to participate. Yet we know that these mission-field experiences will permanently change their lives so that they will also become a catalyst for change. iThrist believes that for every one person sent to the mission field, thousands of lives will be permanently changed for the better.
